Prophethood is a very special job given by Allah, and only special people are chosen by Allah to become Prophets. A Prophet is a person who gets messages from Allah, and then he tells the people what Allah wants them to know.
Prophets teach people to do good things, to be kind, to tell the truth, to help the poor, to listen to their parents, to pray to only one God, and to never do bad things like lying or hurting others.
Why Did Allah Send Prophets?
Allah loves people very much, so He sent Prophets to help us learn how to live a good and clean life.
The first Prophet was Prophet Adam (alayhis salaam), and he was the first man Allah created. Then, over many years, Allah sent many more Prophets.
Some Prophets are famous like Prophet Nuh (Noah), Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), Prophet Musa (Moses), Prophet Isa (Jesus), and the last Prophet is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The Finality of Prophethood
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is very special because he is the last Prophet, and no more Prophets will come after him. This is called the Finality of Prophethood. That means Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought the last message from Allah, and that message is the Quran.
The Quran is the holy book that has all of Allah’s teachings in it. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught people how to follow the Quran and how to live in a good Islamic way. He was very kind, honest, and helpful.
What Were the Prophets Like?
He smiled a lot, helped his friends, took care of animals, and was good to children. He never hurt anyone and never said bad words. We must try to be like him.
All Prophets were very good people. They never lied. They always told the truth. They were kind to old people, nice to young people, and fair to everyone. They were brave and strong. They always did what Allah told them to do.
Difficulties Faced by Prophets
Sometimes, people did not want to listen to the Prophets. Sometimes people got angry at the Prophets, and sometimes they even tried to hurt them. But the Prophets stayed patient. They did not stop teaching. They prayed to Allah and asked Allah to help them.
Allah loves His Prophets and always helped them.
What Did the Prophets Teach?
Prophets taught people to worship only Allah. They said, “There is no god but Allah.” This is called Tawheed, which means believing in One God.
Prophets also taught us to pray Salah, to fast in Ramadan, to give Zakat, to speak nicely, to respect teachers and parents, and to be good Muslims.
Prophets for Different Nations
Every Prophet came to a different group of people. Prophet Musa (alayhis salaam) came to the people of Egypt. Prophet Isa (alayhis salaam) came to the people of Bani Israel. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came for all the people of the world. That means he is a Prophet for me, for you, and for everyone!
We follow Islam today because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught it to us. He showed us how to pray, how to be clean, how to smile, how to be good to animals, how to treat our neighbours, and how to say “Bismillah” before eating. His life is a perfect example for us.
We should say “Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam” when we say his name.
Why We Should Love the Prophets
When we learn about the Prophets, we feel happy because we know Allah sent these wonderful people to help us. If we want to be close to Allah, we must follow the teachings of the Prophets. That is how we become good Muslims.
Prophets never wanted money or big houses. They only wanted people to listen to Allah. Allah gave them big hearts and great wisdom. They could not do bad things. They always obeyed Allah.
Miracles of the Prophets
Some Prophets had miracles. A miracle is something amazing that only Allah can do.
- Prophet Musa (alayhis salaam) split the sea with Allah’s help.
- Prophet Isa (alayhis salaam) cured sick people with Allah’s help.
- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went to the skies in a night journey called Isra and Mi’raj.
These miracles showed that they were true Prophets. But the most special miracle is the Quran.
The Quran is a book that will never change. It is in Arabic, and it teaches us everything we need to know. When we read the Quran, we are reading the words of Allah, given to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
We should say “Alhamdulillah” for having the Quran and for having the Prophets.
Belief in All Prophets
We must believe in all the Prophets. This is a part of Iman (faith). Muslims believe in all the Prophets, not just one. We do not make fun of any Prophet. We respect them all.
Prophets did not have any sin. They were chosen by Allah to guide the people. They were like big lights in the dark, helping people to find the right path.
Being Kind Like the Prophets
The Prophets were very patient and kind, even when people were not nice to them. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forgave the people who were mean to him. He taught us to forgive and be kind too.
Allah loves people who follow the Prophets. Allah gives them Jannah, which is a beautiful place in the Hereafter. In Jannah, there are gardens, rivers, fruits, sweets, and no pain or sadness.
We can go to Jannah if we believe in Allah, follow the Prophet, pray, help others, and be kind.
We must always say our five daily prayers, read the Quran, love the Prophet, and listen to our parents and teachers.
Conclusion: The Gift of Prophethood
Prophethood is a big gift from Allah to guide the people. We say thank you to Allah for sending the Prophets.
Now that we know about Prophethood, we must always try to follow the good path. We must walk like the Prophet, talk like the Prophet, smile like the Prophet, and live like the Prophet.
When we follow the Prophet’s way, we are on the path to Jannah.
That is why learning about Prophethood is very important for every Muslim child. Let us promise to always respect the Prophets, learn from their stories, and be good Muslims every day.
