Hazrat Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) was a kind and brave man. He was born in Makkah. His family was noble and respected. His father Zayd ibn Amr did not believe in idols. He believed in one God even before Islam came. Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) learned from his father to speak the truth and do good.

He was quiet and gentle as a boy. He helped others and never did wrong. He did not lie and he did not fight. He loved peace.

Early Islam and Acceptance of the Truth

When he grew up the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him started to teach people about Islam. Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) listened carefully. His heart felt happy when he heard about Allah. He believed the message. He accepted Islam. His wife Fatimah also became a Muslim.

They prayed in secret. At that time Muslims were not safe. Many people were angry at them. They tried to hurt them. But Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) stayed strong. He did not stop praying. He trusted Allah.

One day his wife’s brother Umar was angry. He came to their house. He heard them reading the Quran. His heart changed. He became a Muslim too. Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) was happy. He thanked Allah.

Life in Madinah

He helped the Prophet and the Muslims. He gave food. He helped the poor. He smiled at children. He moved to Madinah with the Muslims. He left his home. He wanted to stay with the Prophet.

In Madinah he worked hard. He went to the mosque. He prayed five times a day. He helped his new neighbors. He was kind to everyone. He always told the truth.

His Role in Battles

Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) fought in battles to protect Islam. He wanted to keep the Muslims safe. In the battle of Badr he was not there because he was sent on a job by the Prophet but the Prophet gave him the same reward as the fighters. In later battles he was very brave. He did not run away. He stood strong. He trusted Allah.

He did not want to be famous. He did not want gold or gifts. He only wanted Allah to be pleased with him. He gave away his money. He built wells for water. He gave food to the poor. He taught others to pray and be kind. He told children to love Allah. He told them to be honest and gentle.

His Status and Legacy

One day the Caliph Umar said that ten people will go to Jannah. Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radi yallahu Anhu) was one of them. He cried. He said he only did good for Allah.

Someone once tried to steal land and lied about Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radi yallahu Anhu). Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radiy allahu Anhu) made dua. Later that person was punished. People saw that Sa’id was close to Allah. He stayed away from arguments. He liked peace and prayer.

Final Days

When he became old he got sick. But he was happy. He said he was ready to meet Allah. He prayed and smiled.

When he passed away people were very sad. They remembered how kind and good he was. They made dua for him.

What We Learn from His Life

Today we teach children about him. He was a friend of the Prophet. He loved Allah more than anything. He helped people. He did not lie. He was patient and honest.

We should try to be like him. Pray every day. Tell the truth. Be kind. Help others. Love Allah. May Allah give him a place in Jannah. Ameen.
